Performance
  • Sport Performance 4-stroke engine
Lightweight, dependable and fun, the Sport Performance engine’s high tech design puts down sport horsepower-class performance on the trail and off. Powering in the distinctive Phazer family of sleds, this 2-cylinder engine is quick-revving and very torquey for sporty acceleration. The advanced fuel injection system automatically keeps it running at maximum output and fuel efficiency for the conditions.
  • Advanced fuel injection
The Sport Performance engine uses an advanced fuel injection system to control fuel flow to the engine. Consumers will enjoy the engine’s spot-on performance and throttle response as a result of the advanced electronic fuel injection system.
  • Lightweight, counterbalanced crankshaft
The Sport Performance engine’s crankshaft is designed to be light weight, responsive and durable. The lightweight, counterbalanced crankshaft delivers super-crisp throttle response and quick acceleration. It also helps mitigate the vibration inherent in a 2-cylinder engine.
  • Lightweight, rear-exiting exhaust
The exhaust from the Sport Performance engine is routed out the rear of the sled, similar to the other Genesis 4-stroke engine packages. The rear exiting exhaust design serves three purposes. First, it keeps the exhaust heat out of the engine bay to allow a super-compact design. Second, it allows the engine to breathe more efficiently through a cooled exhaust pipe. Finally, it helps to balance the overall sled package, giving the Phazer GT its amazingly nimble handling.
  • 14 x 121 x 1-inch Camoplast® Hacksaw™ track
The Phazer GT uses a 14-inch wide Camoplast® Hacksaw™ track with 1-inch lugs. The track design is lighter than a traditional 15-inch design for performance and handling. It also allows the tunnel to be narrower to contribute to the sled’s ergonomics.
  • Radiator and front extrusion
In order to generate consistently-strong engine performance, all Sport Performance engine sleds feature a small radiator on the right hand side of the engine cab and a front extrusion. The use of a small radiator improves the sled’s cooling system function, which means greater engine durability. It also enhances the sled’s handling by relocating the mass of a rear heat exchanger up to the central portion of the sled.
  • Oil Pressure Sensing System
The Phazer GT is fitted with an oil pressure sensing system. If the oil pressure drops while riding, the ignition and fuel supply is controlled to limit the engine’s rpm and reduce the load on the engine. If necessary the system will stop the engine.
Handling
  • Ultra light, ultra rigid FX™ chassis
The Phazer GT is built on the FX Chassis. It features lightweight, rigid CF diecast member and chromoly tube construction. The FX Chassis was engineered specifically to house the Sport Performance engine and incorporates that engine package in its overall balance dynamic. The FX Chassis is also the backbone for the sport rider-forward position on the Phazer GT.
  • Sport rider-forward position
The Phazer GT takes many of its cues from other off-road motorsports, including its sport rider-forward positioning. It has a tall, narrow seat and tall, forward handlebars like the popular YZ® dirtbike. It puts the rider in a pure sport posture, without being overly aggressive. The sport rider-forward position also locates the mass of the rider right at the balance point for the sled, aiding its incredible handling.
  • Double wishbone front suspension
The FX Chassis uses a specifically engineered front suspension package to accommodate its unique weight distribution and handling needs. Because of the Phazer GT’s naked front end design, the A-arms need to be longer than even the second generation design found on the Deltabox™ II chassis models. The Phazer GT also features lightweight extruded aluminum spindles.
  • Wide handlebars
To match the tall and forward position, a single-piece unhooked handlebar is standard on the Phazer GT. The grips have 10-position adjustable warmers.
  • Integrated chaincase with magnesium cover
The FX Chassis has the chaincase cast right into the frame member, and has a magnesium cover plate that forms the seal to keep the oil in. This trick piece of technology is a highlight of the goal to simplify the sled and minimize weight. Riders will appreciate the low overall weight on the Phazer GT and its amazingly nimble handling as a result.
  • CF die cast construction
Yamaha’s Controlled Flow casting technique is used for many of the structural pieces on the chassis. The CF process draws the molten metal into the mold under a vacuum, reducing the formation of air bubbles in the material. As a result, pieces can be made much thinner and still deliver the strength characteristics of a conventionally-cast, thicker piece.
Comfort
  • Dual Shock® rear suspension
The Phazer GT uses a Dual Shock rear suspension with a pair of KYB® gas cell shocks. The FX Chassis uses a narrow track and the skidframe is accordingly narrower. The suspension offers a number of unique features, in addition to the narrowness. The carrier wheels on the rear upper cross shaft are oversized to improve their efficiency and reduce friction as compared to a small wheel design. The rear mount is built with a cantilever system to allow the track tension to remain consistent through the compression travel. The rear arm has coupling blocks. The front lower shock mount is on a cam to increase the shock rate through its travel.
  • GYTR® dual-clicker front shocks
Lightweight premium GYTR dual-clicker shocks offer riders the highest level of tunability on the market with 12 clicks of compression AND 20 clicks of rebound damping. Large, glove-friendly knobs make adjustments easy. The piggyback reservoir gives the shock increased fade resistance in periods of intense use.
  • New wheels with removable bearings
New replaceable bearing wheels makes maintenance easy and cheap, while the 6 spoke design adds to the visual appeal of the already super cool looking Phazer. This new design will be implemented on the rear large wheels only.
  • Tall, narrow YZ®-style seat
The tall, narrow seat is an integral element in the sport rider-forward position on the Phazer GT. It helps put the rider in the best possible location for aggressive or casual riding. The narrowness of the seat enhances the Phazer GT’s overall lightweight feel on the trail.
  • • Standard electric start and push-button Electric Shift reverse
Yamaha’s electric starter system allows consumers to fire up their Phazer GT with a turn of the key. The engine’s decompression system lightens the load required to turn the engine over, allowing a small, light battery to be used. Yamaha’s Electric Shift reverse system lets users shift the sled into, and out of, reverse with the touch of a button on the digital gauge.
  • Digital gauge
The digital gauge displays key information at a glance. Vehicle speed is displayed on a large LCD readout. In addition, the rider can select tachometer, odometer or tripmeter data to appear on the secondary readout. The gauge also displays system warning lights, fuel level, and warmer intensity. The right hand side of the gauge has the push button for the Electric Shift reverse system.
  • Concentrated hand warmers
These hand warmers have a concentrated element design, which focuses the heat in the middle of the grip material. The result is a warm grip for your hand’s most comfortable riding position. In addition, an insulator is placed between the heating element and handlebar to retain heat longer and more efficiently than previous designs.
  • New graphics package
The Phazer GT comes in one new graphic package; Yamaha white/blue. This awesome design produces one of the best looking sleds on the snow.

  • Engine Braking Reduction System
The High Performance engine features the unique Engine Braking Reduction System (EBRS). This technology keeps the clutch slightly engaged to give the sled a “coast” feeling when the throttle is released.
  • Lightweight rear-exiting exhaust
The patented rear exit design serves many performance-enhancing functions on the FX Nytro XTX. First, it cools the pipe by running it down the tunnel, where it can be snow-cooled. Second, it reduces the amount of under-hood heat produced. Third, the rear-exiting design distributes weight for a finely balanced sled.
  • Forced air radiator ducting
The FX Nytro XTX’s airflow design pulls fresh air in from around the headlight and forces it through the radiator fins for high cooling capacity, resulting in consistent engine performance even in low-snow conditions.
Handling
  • NEW! Tuner Dual-Keel ski
The all-new tuner dual-keel ski greatly contributes to the FX Nytro XTX 1.75's polite, yet aggressive trail character. The dual keels keep the ski tracking straight and true down the trail, eliminating nosiness and darting. Each keel has its own wearbar, and Yamaha has four different bar configurations to choose from, which means you can tune your sled's cornering bite and steering effort to suit your personal preference.
  • FXG2 front suspension geometry
The FX Nytro XTX 1.75 features the acclaimed FXG2 front suspension with more trail and relaxed caster for crisp steering response and confidence-inspiring, flat handling in the corners and through the rough trail.
  • FX™ chassis with sport rider-forward position
The compact design puts the engine down low and back in the chassis, leaving the top of the cab open for airflow. This gives the FX Nytro XTX 1.75 a very centralized mass. The sled’s sport rider-forward ergonomic design puts the rider in an aggressive, yet comfortable, forward posture.
  • Over-the-engine steering
The snocross-proven over-the-engine steering configuration on the FX Nytro XTX 1.75 gives the rider excellent posture on the sled. It also allows the engine to be tucked deep into the chassis for optimum balance and mass centralization which contributes to the sled’s overall handling characteristic.
  • Tall, hooked bars
To match the tall and forward position, a single-piece, dual-hooked handlebar is standard fare on the FX Nytro XTX 1.75. The hooks have the same grip material as the main bar section, for consistent control, regardless of hand position on the grip.
  • Composite upper skeleton
The headlight assembly and upper portion of the FX Nytro XTX 1.75 is supported by a super-lightweight composite framework. By using a rugged, high tech composite material as the structure for the top portion of the sled, Yamaha engineers were able to keep the mass centered low and deep in the chassis.
  • Lightweight tunnel
The FX Nytro XTX 1.75 features a lightweight tunnel design. With the runningboards tipped up at an aggressive 11-degree angle, the XTX delivers big ground clearance for off trail capability. The design also features large snow evacuation and boot gripper punch outs.
Comfort
  • NEW! HPG front shocks
Lightweight aluminum HPG shocks on the front of the Nytro XTX 1.75 are calibrated to give you a very comfortable, yet sporty ride. The new design is 2 and a half pounds lighter than the previous piggyback-style shock but does not compromise ride quality.
  • NEW! Dual controls for concentrated hand warmers
The FX Nytro XTX 1.75 has new dual controls to let you adjust the warmer levels for your hands on the left side and the thumb on your right. These hand warmers have a concentrated element design, which focuses the heat in the middle of the grip material. The result is a warm grip for your hand’s most comfortable riding position. In addition, an insulator is placed between the heating element and handlebar to retain heat longer and more efficiently than previous designs.
  • Dual Shock® CK 144 rear suspension
The Dual Shock CK 144 rear suspension is the culmination of many years of development and testing. In order to be the ultimate crossover snowmobile, the FX Nytro XTX 1.75 needed to have cornering like a 121-inch trail sled, bump bridging like a 136-inch sled and the flotation of a 144-inch sled. The solution is the aggressive 6-degree rear tip-up on the rails, which gives the sled the footprint of a short track model on hardpack and the footprint of a long track model in fresh snow. The coupled design delivers excellent comfort and bump absorption over a wide variety of trail conditions.
  • 40mm compression-adjusting clicker shock
The Dual Shock CK 144 rear suspension is fitted with a 40mm HPG shock with a remote reservoir and compression clicker on the rear arm and an aluminum-body HPG shock on the front arm.

The design on the RS Vector LTX is very efficient, often integrating many functions into one component. One such example is the use of the airbox as a part of the hood design. The upper element, closest to the headlight, is comprised of the silencer cover for the airbox. This design feature allows for a very small hood piece, which keeps weight low.
  • Tall, wide, hooked handlebars
To match the tall and forward position, a single-piece, dual-hooked handlebar is standard fare on the RS Vector LTX. The hooks have the same grip material as the main bar section, for consistent control, regardless of hand position on the grip.
Comfort
  • Mono Shock® II CK 136 rear suspension
The Mono Shock II CK 136 rear suspension uses a single shock to control the travel of the skid. It can be adjusted at the coil spring and at the control rod to suit nearly any rider in nearly any condition. Decked out with highly engineered features, this trouble-free suspension can handle trail bumps with ease.
  • Tall, lightweight seat
The RS Vector LTX’s lightweight seat features a roomy cargo space. The height of the trail seat makes it even easier to go from sitting to standing, while the firm foam provides extra comfort. It features a color band to match the sled’s lines and graphics.
  • New windshield
The new windshield and side deflector design, developed using computer modeling, provides maximum wind protection with minimum aerodynamic drag and swirl-in.
  • Wheels with removable bearings
Replaceable bearing wheels makes maintenance easy and cheap, while the 6 spoke design adds to the visual appeal of the already super cool looking RS Vector LTX. This design is implemented on all rear wheels.
  • Wide runningboards with star-punched traction
The RS Vector LTX’s wide running boards feature star-punched traction throughout their entire length. The boards also have an outer traction roll for additional sure footing. As an added benefit, the traction holes help evacuate snow and slush from the runningboard.

  • 15 x 144 x 1.25-inch Camoplast® Rip Saw™ track
The FX Nytro XTX uses a 144-inch Camoplast® Rip Saw™ track. The added length is what gives the sled its excellent off-trail, fresh snow flotation. The basic Rip Saw™ design has been widely acclaimed in the industry as the best all-around OEM track for acceleration, cornering bite and everyday trail usage. The Rip Saw™ track development is the result of a collaborative effort between Yamaha and Camoplast®.

  • Composite upper skeleton
The headlight assembly and upper portion of the FX Nytro XTX is supported by a super-lightweight composite framework. By using a rugged, high tech composite material as the structure for the top portion of the sled, Yamaha engineers were able to keep the mass centered low and deep in the chassis.
  • Lightweight tunnel
The FX Nytro XTX features a lightweight tunnel design. With the runningboards tipped up at an aggressive 11-degree angle, the XTX delivers big ground clearance for off trail capability. The new design also features large snow evacuation and boot gripper punch outs. The lightweight tunnel was developed on the Pro Open snocross race sled.
Comfort
  • Dual Shock® CK 144 rear suspension
The Dual Shock CK 144 rear suspension is the culmination of many years of development and testing. In order to be the ultimate crossover snowmobile, the FX Nytro XTX needed to have cornering like a 121-inch trail sled, bump bridging like a 136-inch sled and the flotation of a 144-inch sled.

  • New sculpted narrow seat
The FX Nytro XTX has a narrow seat for added comfort. In addition to putting the rider in a tall, forward, attack posture, the seat’s height makes it plush and comfortable for a full day of riding. The narrow seat sits atop the beveled tunnel, which allows the track to be a traditional 15 inches wide, to maximize traction. In addition, a new seat cover material has been incorporated this year for added comfort and durability. The seat foam has been improved as well with anti-sagging properties.
  • Standard electric start
Yamaha’s electric starter system allows consumers to fire up their Nytro XTX with the turn of a key. There is no pulling on a nylon cord to get this high-tech engine growling! Electric start is a standard feature on all of Yamaha’s 4-stroke machines.
