New 2013 HONDA CRF110
THE ALL NEW HONDA CRF110!!

2013 Honda CRF110F Review

2013 Honda CRF110F The youth market for off-road motorcycles is growing, and looks set to do so for the foreseeable future. These days riding off-road, in trail parks, motocross tracks or even back yards, can be very much a family activity that involves everyone. It's also a great, and enjoyable, introduction to motorcycling and readily builds skills and machine control, so useful later on whether out on the road or in competition. For Honda, acquiring young riders early in their careers is a great introduction to the brand, its core values and most importantly, its motorcycles. The new CRF110F takes over the place of honor long held by the popular CRF70F among Honda's family of fun, entry-level off-road bikes. The CRF110F features a low seat height, modest size, and a four-speed transmission with an automatic clutch on par with the CRF70F that it replaces. The new 110cc powerplant is tuned to meet the needs of those new to riding, and with a new throttle-limiter feature it offers additional tuning options to suit a variety of riders. Also, the CRF110F gets a new, convenient electric starter. Toss in race-inspired styling evocative of the hot new CFR450R, and you have a great new option that expands the family of entry-level dirt bikes from Honda. About the same size as our CRF70F, the new CRF110F offers a bigger 110cc air-cooled engine that’s just as reliable and built to deliver the kind of power your young Red Rider needs. In addition, the new CRF110F features both an effortless electric starter and a kick starter as well. And it all teams up with our four-speed transmission with automatic clutch that’s been proven in thousands of bikes, so your riders never have to worry about stalling or a handlebar-mounted clutch. The CRF110F is a great off-road fun bike that your kids are going to love. And, better than that, they’re going to remember all the fun they had riding it—and with you—for the rest of their lives.

Important Safety Information
Parents need to consider their youngster’s age, size, ability and maturity before allowing them to ride. See owner’s manual for additional safety and supervisory information. Designed exclusively for off-road operator-only use. Always wear a helmet, eye protection and protective clothing whenever you ride. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Always obtain written permission before riding on private land. Whenever you ride off-road, follow the “Tread Lightly” guidelines, and always keep on established trails in approved riding areas. Use common sense, keep your riding area clean, respect the rights of others when you ride. Operating your motorcycle with a modified engine, emission control system, or noise control system may be illegal.

Plenty of Power.

The CRF110F’s new 110cc engine offers a generous, wide powerband without revving too high—perfect for young riders to learn on. Plus, the CRF110F offers a throttle limiter to allow parents to choose the appropriate amount of available power.

No Clutch Lever, No Worries.

With our proven four-speed transmission with automatic clutch, riders can concentrate on shifting gears without the worry of a manual clutch or stalling.

Get Them Off To A Great Start.

The CRF110F includes an effortless electric starter. We’ve even included a backup kick starter, so getting underway is a cinch, even if the battery charge gets low.       Model Overview Honda's CRF110F is a brand new motorcycle, and replaces the popular CRF70F. It is aimed squarely at the 8-11 year old age range, and happily accommodates heights between 120-145cm and weights between 30-50kg. Primarily designed for leisure riding, it also provides a valuable stepping-stone up to more competition-focused motocross and enduro machines in the Honda range. The CRF110F's engine offers more power and torque, and also features an electric starter; a brand new steel frame with improved suspension also adds to the 'big-bike' feel and performance. With styling inspired by the 2013 CRF450R, the family resemblance is more than passing, further reinforcing the CRF110F's appeal.             2013 Honda CRF110F Features and Benefits Engine With a bore and stroke of 50mm x 55.6 (as opposed to the CRF70F's 47mm x 41.4mm) the CRF110F's air-cooled two-valve SOHC engine now displaces 109cc, rather than 72cc. Power and torque figures rise from 3.6kW/5Nm to 5.35kW/8.85Nm; power is up 49%, torque 77%. The result is greatly improved performance everywhere in the rev-range, and much stronger and more consistent drive out of corners. The automatic twin clutch system features two types of independent clutch - one for starting, the other for shifting - that makes changing gears easier and smoother than a conventional system. The transmission now also has four gears, instead of three. The engine start switch is on the right hand side of the handlebar, the engine stop switch is on the left. A 1.2L airbox (the CRF70F used a 0.25L airbox) provides the much greater airflow that the larger capacity engine requires. The exhaust muffler cover is all new; partly for aesthetic reasons but also for improved protection. For more reliable performance digital ignition now gives the engine optimum ignition timing.
Chassis To make best use of the CRF110F's extra power and torque a new chassis was required. The new steel backbone frame and swingarm blends a high balance of rigidity with a certain amount of tuned flex, allowing the rider to fully exploit the engine's capabilities. The frame also incorporates safety covers at heat points, and carrying handles for easy transport. The suspension has been completely uprated, for better traction and stability. The telescopic front fork diameter is 31mm, 4mm larger than the CRF70F and has 100mm of travel, while the rear shock absorber features a 28mm piston damper, up 7mm, with 90mm travel. Drum brakes front and rear provide ample, and measured braking force. The front wheel size is 14in with a 2.5 x 14 tyre; the rear 12in with 3 x 12 tyre. A completely new body kit, with echoes of the CRF450R's 'triangle proportion' gives the CRF110F a crisp and modern appearance. The newly designed chain cover looks great and with the addition of a handlebar pad aids safety. Wide-set footpegs increase control, and the redesigned kick-starter is easier to use. Seat height is 660mm, 5mm taller than the CRF70F - but the lowest in class - and the wheelbase is 7mm longer at 1070mm. Fuel capacity is 4.9L, and wet weight of the CRF110F is 72.2kg.     2013 Honda CRF110F Key Features - New air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 110cc engine tuned for the beginning rider. - Four-speed gearbox with automatic clutch. - Adjustable Throttle Limiter Screw to match rider abilities. - Convenient electric starter with kickstart backup. - Low seat height of only 26.3 inches. - Handlebar pad. - Race-inspired styling evocative of the hot new CRF450R.

New 2013 HONDA CRF250R
ON SALE NOW!! $6999   On The Gas! Anyone who’s ever raced in the Lites class knows that your bike better be perfect if you expect to win. With a 450, all that power can help you erase a mistake, but on a 250 if you give an inch the rest of the pack is going to use you for traction. That’s why the new 2013 CRF250R doesn’t give an inch. New 2013 KTM 125 SX

2013 KTM 125SX Review

2013 KTM 125SX How can you identify future champions? By the bike they ride. The KTM 125 SX has been the springboard to a professional career for many a hungry young rider. And this will continue to be the case, what with new bodywork and significantly revamped suspension. Driven by the powerful 2-stroke engine with exhaust control system and 6-speed transmission, the lightest bike in its class has long been at the top of the pile.   2013 KTM 125SX Features and Benefits AIRBOX The revised design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the filter from dirt and maximum air flow for top performance. New airbox covers are manufactured in a 2-component process with new in-mould graphics. The fixing for the left cover has been further improved, along with its installation. This makes quick replacement of the twin-air filter in a matter of seconds even easier. Needless to say, no tool is required - a feature that's unique in the motocross world. Furthermore, an additional tab on the cover allows it to be secured with a bolt. FRAME The modern frame design of lightweight, high strength, chrome-molybdenum steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting not only in easy handling and precise steering behaviour, but also in excellent ride stability. The engine braces to the cylinder head have also been optimised, along with their attachment to the frame. The frames bear a new colour for the 2013 model year and they are still the benchmark in terms of weight and stability.     SHOCK ABSORBER The WP monoshock has been further refined for the KTM 125 SX 2013 and, together with the KTM linkage system, it excels with its completely revamped settings for improved damping, more traction and even higher reserves against bottoming out. As ever, rebound and compression damping (high and low speed) can be adapted individually to the track and rider in no time at all.     REVISED SWINGARM The cast aluminium swingarm has been developed with state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software and constructed, in terms of design and wall thickness, for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and sufficient flex. For the 2013 model year, engineers have redesigned the rear section of the swingarm to allow installation of a thicker rear wheel axle (25 mm (0.98 in) instead of 20 m (66 ft)) for the benefit of better tracking stability. Moreover, they have succeeded in reducing weight by more than 100 g (3.53 oz) by revising the bolts, cups and nuts on the linkage.     IMPROVED FORK The further improved 48 mm (1.89 in) upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimised with completely revamped settings for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. The new oil is significantly more wear-resistant and guarantees more consistent damping throughout both the course of a race and the bike's life cycle. A new lower triple clamp is 80 grams lighter and, just like the upper triple clamp, CNC-machined from high quality aluminium, whereby the steering characteristics and hence the responsiveness of the fork have been noticeably improved. BODYWORK Not only visually does the completely revamped bodywork indicate that the 2013 model year represents a new SX generation. Above all, the ergonomics and function of the plastics have been designed in such a way that the whole chassis and engine package forms a perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail. The fuel tank and spoiler have been restyled along with the airbox cover and the front fender, including the start number plate. A particular highlight is the new front fender, which has no ribbing whatsoever on the inside, thereby preventing mud build-up. A pioneering structure and improved attachment of the fender to the triple clamp result in up to 50% greater lateral stiffness.

New 2013 KTM 150 SX

2013 KTM 150SX Review

2013 KTM 150SX Performance approaching that of a 250 with the handling of a 125. The perfect all-rounder in the 2-stroke segment appears even more aggressive now with new bodywork and significantly revamped suspension. You can't go wrong here.   2013 KTM 150SX Features and Benefits COOLING SYSTEM The tried and tested, integrated cooling system leads from the cylinder head through the frame triangle directly to the new radiators made by WP Radiator from tougher aluminium. Lack of piping simplifies radiator installation and improves air flow beneath the fuel tank of the KTM 150 SX 2013.     AIRBOX The revised design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the filter from dirt and maximum air flow for top performance. New, significantly stiffer intake snorkels (between filter and throttle body) also have a noticeable effect. As ever, rebound and compression damping (high and low speed) can be adapted individually to the track and rider in no time at all. HANDLEBAR All SX models are equipped in 2013 with new Renthal Fatbar 827 handlebars, whose offset has been adapted to the needs of our motocross professionals (same as 996 Bend). As on the factory bikes, these handlebars are now black anodised and protect the rider with a large Renthal crash pad. Furthermore, we've also developed new grips that are manufactured in a 2-component process by Domino. Needless to say, four handlebar position settings are still the KTM standard.     BRAKES Brakes from Brembo are standard equipment on KTM motocross bikes and, together with lightweight wave brake discs, they are recognised as the measure of all things in terms of application and brake performance. At the rear wheel, the brake calliper carriers have been adapted to the larger axle diameter on the KTM 150 SX 2013. TOP-NOTCH ERGONOMICS

2013 KTM 250SX-F Review

2013 KTM 250SX-F The KTM 250 SX-F has been an established force in the MX2 World Championship for 8 years now. And the new generation appears with a completely new, even lighter engine and an updated injection system. In other words: a performance package that will redefine the MX2 class. Together with a new frame and new bodywork, the new 2013 KTM 250 SX-F is a winning bike that dominates the MX2 class.   2013 KTM 250SX-F Features and Benefits ENGINE A completely new design, without kickstarter, in a new engine case, manufactured in a die-casting process. What's all this for? To save weight. A new, elastic and simultaneously high-strength, aluminum alloy provides additional damage protection for the engine on the 2013 KTM 250 SX-F.     CYLINDER + PISTON The stroke-bore ratio of the 2013 KTM 250 SX-F has been defined as somewhat shorter-stroked for the benefit of higher peak power, with the new cylinder now boasting a bore of 78 mm (3.07 in) (previously 76 mm (2.99 in)), hence providing space for larger valves. Despite the larger diameter, the box-type, forged piston is lighter in weight. This reduces the moving masses and enables higher engine speeds as well as more power.     BALANCER SHAFT The goal was less vibration in spite of increased revs. That's why the new KTM 250 SX-F engine also has a laterally positioned balancer shaft, which also serves as the drive wheel for the timing chain and the water pump.     CYLINDER HEAD Those wanting to know what drives a winner to victory will find the answer here. The heart of the newly developed DOHC engine is the redesigned cylinder head with twin overhead camshafts and DLC-coated cam followers that actuate the titanium valves. Larger, flow-optimized ducts in conjunction with the more generously dimensioned intake valves (intake 32.5 mm (1.28 in), exhaust 26.5 mm (1.043 in)) guarantee 10% more gas flow and significantly improved performance. The new camshafts on the 2013 250 SX-F have also been designed (new valve timing, larger stroke) for achieving a huge increase in performance compared with the predecessor model, above all at the top end of the rev range (max. 14,000 rpm, previously 13,400 rpm).     NEW INJECTION SYSTEM The Keihin engine management system with electronic fuel injection has been improved significantly on the 2013 KTM 250 SX-F. Even more performance has been achieved with greater air flow through a new throttle body - featuring a 44 mm (1.73 in) instead of a 42 mm (1.65 in) port - in conjunction with the new injector nozzle. The throttle position sensor (TPS) is more durable and protected from stone impact with a plastic protector. The connectors are now enclosed in rubber grommets to protect them from pressure washers. The wiring harness has been simplified and the quality of cables and connectors optimized. Additional engine characteristics can also still be activated with an optional PowerParts map-select switch that can be mounted on the handlebar. WEIGHT The modern frame design of lightweight, high-strength, chromoly steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting not only in easy handling and precise steering behavior, but also in excellent ride stability. The four-stroke frames impress in MY 2013 with a stiffening of the frame triangle and thinner-walled down tubes. This leads to an improvement in tracking stability (increased torsional stiffness) accompanied by a reduction in weight. The engine braces to the cylinder head have also been optimized, along with their attachment to the frame. The frame bears a new color on the KTM 250 SX-F and it is still the benchmark in terms of weight and stability. FORK The further improved 48 mm (1.89 in) upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimized with completely revamped settings for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. The new oil is significantly more wear-resistant and guarantees more consistent damping throughout both the course of a race and the bike's life cycle. Rebound and compression damping (high and low speed) can be adapted individually to the track and rider in no time at all.     WHEELS The wheels are fitted with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and high-end EXCEL rims, plus new, black-coated spokes with aluminum nipples, guaranteeing the highest levels of stability while keeping weight to a minimum. The Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires stand for excellent traction and performance. For the benefit of greater ride stability on the KTM 250 SX-F, the rear axle has been increased in diameter from 20 mm (0.79 in) to 25 mm (0.98 in). BODYWORK Not only visually does the completely revamped bodywork indicate that the 2013 model year represents a new SX generation. Additional engine characteristics can also still be activated with an optional PowerParts map-select switch that can be mounted on the handlebar

2013 KTM 250XC-W Review

2013 KTM 250XC-W The KTM 250 XC-W is the ultimate victory machine. Built with the ideal combination of performance and weight, this is the enduro to beat when the going gets tough. The DDS clutch allows better rideability while enhancing the lightest enduro bike even further.   2013 KTM 250XC-W Features and Benefits AIRBOX The airbox on the KTM 250 XC-W model year 2013 allows maximum air to pass through, but minimal dust and spray. Replacement of the Twin-Air filter takes approx. 15 seconds, without any tools. Absolutely "READY TO RACE".     REVAMPED ENGINE The 250cc 2-stroke engine excels with new V-Force-4 reed valve blocks and the newly developed DDS clutch. This allows lower operating forces and better controllability at the same time as lower weight (minus 250 g (8.82 oz)) and greater durability.     NEW DDS CLUTCH The new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel): The one-piece outer clutch hub with primary gear is machined from a single piece of high-strength steel. Unbeatable reliability is the result. It also allows the use of thin steel discs. This results in an extremely compact construction for a narrow engine width. A diaphragm spring enables the implementation of an additional hub damping mechanism - an invaluable benefit in terms of traction and gearbox durability. In conjunction with the diaphragm spring, the hydraulic clutch actuation system from Brembo ensures very smooth and very precise clutch control.     ELECTRIC-STARTER AS STANDARD The KTM 250 XC-W is equipped with both kick and electric starters in 2013. This simplifies starting the bike in all situations. With its patented placement in a longitudinal direction above the ignition, the compact starter system is optimally protected and provides a decisive advantage in hard offroad use. ADJUSTABLE IGNITION CURVE By opening and closing a plug connection, the choice can be made between the standard ignition curve and a softer version. Those who prefer even greater convenience can buy a switch for the KTM 250 XC-W 2013 from the PowerParts range. LINEAR POWER DEVELOPMENT Plenty of power from the bottom up and controllable rideability throughout the rev range. The response of the exhaust control system can be individually tuned by means of different springs. This way, everyone can easily vary the power development of their XC-W (can be used in-conjunction with the two ignition curves) between "soft" and "aggressive" in a matter of seconds. And the new reed valve block on the 2013 250 XC-W delivers perceptibly better acceleration and more homogeneous power development. INDIVIDUAL SUSPENSION SETTING The KTM 250 XC-W has its own individual suspension settings, optimally tuned to weight and engine. At the rear, a PDS shock absorber from WP Suspension works with a direct linkage to the upper side of the swingarm. The wide range of setting options for rebound damping and high- and low-speed compression damping are standard on KTM bikes.     HIGH QUALITY WHEELS High quality, CNC-machined hubs are standard on all KTM wheels. The now black coated spokes increase corrosion resistance and center the new, extremely stable, 7050 aluminum rims from GIANT. Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires - provide excellent traction, very precise directional control and a long service life. BODYWORK The KTM 250 XC-W has bodywork with slim ergonomics and excellent contact points between rider and machine. It provides unlimited freedom of movement. Newly styled graphics give the models a fresher appearance.

Not least due to the use of a new fork oil and new fork seal rings.   HIGH QUALITY WHEELS High quality, CNC-machined hubs are standard on all KTM wheels. The now black coated spokes increase corrosion resistance and center the new, extremely stable, 7050 aluminum rims from GIANT. Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires provide excellent traction, very precise directional control and a long service life.   ENGINE MANAGEMENT The EMS from Keihin is state-of-the-art. Along with electronic fuel injection and a 42 mm (1.65 in) throttle body, it delivers spontaneous, powerful responsiveness and handling. Automatic temperature and altitude compensation are also to be found on board.   LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINE CASE Slimmed down: Die-cast instead of sand-cast engine case! This noticeably reduces wall thickness with no reduction in stability. A lighter engine provides better handling. A special, high-strength aluminum alloy provides maximum resistance to damage.   NEW AIRBOX The redesigned airbox on the KTM 250 XCF‑W model year 2013 allows maximum air to pass through, but minimal dust and spray. Replacement of the Twin-Air filter takes approx. 15 seconds, without any tools. Absolutely "Ready to Race".   VALVE TRAIN Alongside the very small, lightweight (only 8 g (0.28 oz)) cam followers with DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating, the DOHC cylinder head is equipped with four ultra-light titanium valves, allowing very high engine speeds of up to 12,000 rpm. Compared with the SX-F power unit, the camshafts are designed less for maximum power and more enduro-specific for a broad usable rev range.   TRANSPARENT PLASTIC FUEL TANK The fuel level can be seen directly from the outside on the 9.5 L (2.51 Gal.), transparent plastic tank. A micro-filter in the fuel line keeps even the smallest of particles away from the injection nozzle and now sits in the fuel line's quick-release coupling between tank and injection valve. Therefore, replacing it is child's play. 13 L fuel tanks are available for all models from the PowerParts range. The tried and tested bayonet filler cap - including safety mechanism to prevent unintentional twisting - allows the fuel tank to be opened and closed quickly with only a quarter turn.

2013 KTM 300XC Review

2013 KTM 300XC The 300 XC provides the 2-stroke afficianado exactly what they want; awesome 2-stroke power and the chassis to utlize every bit of it. KTM continues to innovate and develop 2-strokes including a new single diaphgram clutch and V-Force reed cage for even more performance.   2013 KTM 300XC Features and Benefits CLUTCH A new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with a wear-free steel cage is fitted to the KTM 300 XC engine, allowing use of thin steel discs for minimum overall width. The diaphragm spring, which preloads the package, not only reduces the operating force required to pull the clutch, but also provides space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and protection for the transmission. And with hydraulic clutch actuation from Brembo, the rider has everything under control right from the start. FRAME The modern frame design of lightweight, high-strength, chromoly steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting not only in easy handling and precise steering behavior, but also in excellent ride stability. The engine braces to the cylinder head have also been optimized, along with their attachment to the frame. The frames have a new color for the 2013 model year and they are still the benchmark in terms of weight and stability.     FORK The further improved 48 mm (1.89 in) upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimized with completely revamped US XC specific settings for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. The new oil is significantly more wear-resistant and guarantees more consistent damping throughout both the course of a race and the bike's life cycle. A new lower triple clamp is 80 g (2.82 oz) lighter and, just like the upper triple clamp, CNC-machined from high quality aluminum, whereby the steering characteristics, and hence, the responsiveness of the fork have been noticeably improved. BODYWORK Visually the completely revamped bodywork indicate that the 2013 model year represents a new XC generation. Above all, the ergonomics and function of the plastics have been designed in such a way that the whole chassis and engine package forms a perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail. The fuel tank and spoiler have been restyled along with the airbox cover and the front fender, including the front number plate. A particular highlight is the new front fender, which has no ribbing whatsoever on the inside, thereby preventing mud build-up. A pioneering structure and improved attachment of the fender to the triple clamp result in up to 50% greater lateral stiffness. WHEELS The wheels are fitted with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and high-end GIANT rims, plus new, black-coated spokes with aluminium nipples, guaranteeing the highest levels of stability while keeping weight to a minimum. The Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires stand for excellent traction and good performance. For the benefit of greater ride stability on the 2013 KTM 250 XC , the rear axle has been increased in diameter from 20 mm (0.79 in) to 25 mm (0.98 in).     BRAKES Brakes from Brembo® are standard equipment on KTM motocross bikes and, together with lightweight Galpher wave-type brake discs, they are recognized as the measure of all things in terms of application and brake performance. At the rear wheel, the Brembo® brake caliper carriers have been adapted to the larger axle diameter for MY 2013.

New 2013 KTM 350 SX-F

2013 KTM 350SX-F Review

2013 KTM 350SX-F For 2 years now, the KTM 350 SX-F has been demonstrating that races are not decided by displacement. This unique bike supplies the power and performance of a 450 combined with the handling of a 250. Now the MX1 championship bike is entering MY 2013 with a revamped engine, an improved chassis and new bodywork.   2013 KTM 350SX-F Features and Benefits REVAMPED ENGINE The advantage of the KTM 350 SX-F has always been its weight. And now the bike's heart is even lighter. Another 500 g (17.64 oz) and more have been lost thanks to the new die-cast housing. The extremely short-stroked DOHC power unit, equipped with the latest generation of EFI, excels with its even wider rev range and exceedingly efficient rideability. And, just like all KTM four-strokes, it can be activated with an electric-starter.     CYLINDER HEAD The modifications to the 350 cm³ (21.36 cu in) DOHC engine can be summarized very easily: more power at less weight. Flow-optimized ducts supply greater gas flow and better cylinder charging. Strengthened valve heads and valve seats plus valve springs with a higher spring force make it possible for the lightweight titanium valves to withstand the increase in maximum engine speed from 13,000 rpm to 13,400 rpm. Or more simply said: more power for the new 2013 KTM 350 SX-F.     CRANKSHAFT Factory bike or production bike? You'll find no difference in the crankshaft. Just like last season's KTM factory machines, the crankshaft on the new 2013 KTM 350 SX-F is equipped with a revolutionary plain bearing in the lower conrod eye. In conjunction with the stiffened crankshaft and a lighter piston, this design is a key prerequisite for increasing the maximum engine speed to 13,400 rpm and the impressive peak performance of the 350 cm³ (21.36 cu in) engine. But not everything revolves around pure power. One major benefit is an extension to the service intervals for the crankshaft; a benefit in terms of time and costs. FRAME The modern frame design of lightweight, high=strength, chromoly steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting not only in easy handling and precise steering behavior, but also in excellent ride stability. The frame bears a new color on the 2013 KTM 350 SX-F and it is still the benchmark in terms of weight and stability.     TELESCOPIC FORK The further improved 48 mm (1.89 in) upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimized with completely revamped settings made specifically for the United States MX market for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. The new oil is significantly more wear-resistant and guarantees more consistent damping throughout both the course of a race and the bike's life cycle. A new lower triple clamp is 80 g (2.82 oz) lighter and, just like the upper triple clamp, CNC-machined from high-quality aluminum, whereby the steering characteristics, and hence, the responsiveness of the fork have been noticeably improved.     SWINGARM The cast aluminum swingarm has been developed with state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software and constructed, in terms of design and wall thickness, for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and sufficient flex. For the 2013 KTM 350 SX-F, engineers have redesigned the rear section of the swingarm to allow installation of a larger rear wheel axle (25 mm (0.98 in) instead of 20 mm (0.79 in)) for the benefit of better tracking stability. Moreover, they have succeeded in reducing weight by more than 100 g (3.53 oz) by revising the bolts, cups and nuts on the linkage. WHEELS The wheels are fitted with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and high-end EXCEL rims, plus new, black-coated spokes with aluminium nipples, guaranteeing the highest levels of stability while keeping weight to a minimum. The Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires stand for excellent traction and performance. For the benefit of greater ride stability on the KTM 2013 350 SX-F, the rear axle has been increased in diameter from 20 mm (0.79 in) to 25 mm (0.98 in).     BRAKES Brakes from Brembo® are standard equipment on KTM motocross bikes and, together with lightweight Galpher wave-type brake discs, they are recognized as the measure of all things in terms of application and brake performance. At the rear wheel, the brake caliper carriers have been adapted to the larger axle diameter for MY 2013.

2013 KTM 450SX-F Review

2013 KTM 450SX-F A completely new, significantly lighter engine, featuring groundbreaking injection technology, guarantees brutal yet controllable power. Packed into a chassis, which has been improved massively in terms of bodywork, frame and suspension, the 2013 KTM 450 SX-F sets a new benchmark among the 450 four-strokes in terms of performance and maneuverability with its easy handling.   2013 KTM 450SX-F Features and Benefits ENGINE Less weight, less maintenance. But, because you can't save on everything, the 449.3 cm³ (27.418 cu in) SOHC SX-F engine offers one major plus: more power. If you combine the 4.4 pounds saved by the more compact design with the unbelievable 60 hp, you end up with unparalleled power development and handling previously unheard of in the 450 class.     CYLINDER HEAD This is precision engineering: a cylinder head reconfigured for optimal motocross characteristics with a very broad rev range. In this extremely compact and lightweight construction, only one camshaft specially designed for the KTM SX-F actuates four titanium valves via weight-reduced rocker arms (DLC-coated on the intake side). Together with ultra-light valve springs and spring retainers, a maximum engine speed of up to 11,500 rpm can be achieved for maximum power.     CRANKSHAFT The crankshaft on the new KTM 450 SX-F with a 63.4 mm (2.496 in) stroke is equipped for 2013 with a revolutionary plain bearing in the lower conrod eye. This means that the conventional needle bearing is replaced by 2 press-fit bearing shells in the ultra-light Pankl connecting rod, which run directly on the crankshaft's additionally reinforced crank pin. The sliding bearing is supplied with oil directly from the pressurised oil circuit via the crankshaft. In other words: No problem when it comes to rev limits, and the need for servicing the crankshaft is halved. And, because the gyrating mass has been reduced, the bike has more bite and it's even more agile and dynamic. FRAME The modern frame design of lightweight, high-strength, chromoly steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness, resulting not only in easy handling and precise steering behavior, but also in excellent ride stability. The four-stroke frames in MY 2013 feature a stiffer frame triangle and thinner-walled down tubes. This leads to an improvement in tracking stability (increased torsional stiffness) accompanied by a reduction in weight. The engine braces to the cylinder head have also been optimized, along with their attachment to the frame. The frame features a new color on the 2013 KTM 450 SX-F and it is still the benchmark in terms of weight and stability.     FORK The further improved 48 mm (1.89 in) upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimized with completely revamped settings developed in the United States for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. For the 2013 model year, engineers have redesigned the rear section of the swingarm to allow installation of a thicker rear wheel axle (25 mm (0.98 in) instead of 20 mm (0.79 in)) for the benefit of better tracking stability. Moreover, they have succeeded in reducing weight by more than 100 g (3.53 oz) by revising the bolts, cups and nuts on the linkage. CLUTCH A DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with a wear-free steel cage is fitted to the new KTM SX-F engine, allowing use of thin steel discs for minimum overall width. The diaphragm spring, which preloads the package, not only reduces the operating force required to pull the clutch, but also provides space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and protection for the transmission. And with hydraulic clutch actuation from Brembo, the rider has everything under control right from the start. ELECTRIC STARTER Every milli-second counts when starting. That's why the new KTM 450 SX-F can also be started simply at the press of a button. This is an invaluable benefit in the heat of a motocross battle. BODYWORK Visually the completely revamped bodywork indicates that the 2013 model year represents a new SX generation. Above all, the ergonomics and function of the plastics have been designed in such a way that the whole chassis and engine package forms a perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail. The fuel tank and spoiler have been restyled along with the airbox cover and the front fender, including the front number plate. A particular highlight is the new front fender, which has no ribbing on the inside, to prevent mud build-up. A pioneering structure and improved attachment of the fender to the triple clamp result in up to 50% greater lateral stiffness.

New 2013 KTM 450 XC-W
Price includes freight.   The KTM 450 XC‑W is without doubt one of the best motorcycles in its class. Compact design, easy maintenance and outstanding robustness at a minimum weight - these are the characteristics of the SOHC engine. Together with the EFI system from Keihin, this bike is unrivalled in performance and rideability - specially designed for enduro bikes.   FRAME In keeping with KTM tradition, the frames are made from high quality, lightweight, chromoly steel profiles. In conjunction with the rear PDS damping system, they are designed for optimum absorption of shocks introduced into the frame by the rear wheel. In response to the trend for aluminum frames followed by our rivals, we supply a high-tech steel frame that weighs approx. 0.5 kg (1.1 lb.) less than the lightest competitor. The swingarm has been designed to provide targeted flexibility on the one hand, thereby bolstering the suspension, and high torsional stiffness on the other.   BRAKES Brakes from Brembo are standard equipment on KTM offroad bikes and, together with lightweight wave-type brake discs, they are recognized as the measure of all things in terms of application and brake performance. The further refined rear brake cylinder has a new internal mechanism that ensures less wear at the rubber seal for greater durability.   TANKS The slim 9.5 L (2.5 USGal) tanks are made from lightweight, transparent polyethylene, allowing the fuel level to be seen from the outside. The tried and tested bayonet filler cap can be opened easily with only a quarter turn and features the proven safety mechanism to prevent unintentional twisting.   CYLINDER HEAD The SOHC cylinder head is equipped with an overhead camshaft that actuates the titanium intake valves and steel exhaust valves. The whole configuration has been perfectly tuned to the Keihin EFI system for outstanding rideability and performance of the 2013 KTM 450 XC‑W.   EFI / EMS The engine management system from Keihin with electronic fuel injection and 42 mm (1.65 in) throttle body ensures spontaneous, powerful responsiveness and handling, along with maximum performance. Automatic temperature and altitude compensation are state of the art.   CLUTCH The one-piece outer clutch hub with primary gear is machined from a single piece of high-strength steel. This guarantees unbeatable reliability and contributes to narrow engine width with its compact, rivetless design. It also allows the use of thin steel discs, making the overall clutch package very compact. A diaphragm spring enables implementation of an additional hub damping mechanism - a benefit in terms of traction and gearbox durability. In conjunction with the diaphragm spring, the hydraulic clutch actuation system from Brembo ensures very smooth and very precise clutch control.   WHEELS The high quality KTM wheels with CNC-machined hubs are standard on KTM bikes. They are equipped with new, extremely stable, 7050 aluminium rims from GIANT and the spokes are now furnished with a premium black coating, representing an improvement in terms of corrosion resistance. Dunlop GEOMAX MX51 tires - provide excellent traction, very precise directional control and a long service life.

With a machine like this, anything less than perfection is unacceptable—and the 2012 CRF450R gives you the perfect balance of open-class Honda power, refined suspension, and the best brakes in the business. First, we’ve changed the rear shock linkage so you get a softer start and a stiffer finish. It responds to small bumps better, but still resists bottoming over really big hits. Fine-tuning the rear travel helps with steering during hard braking and on long, fast downhill sections. At the front, new fork outer tubes are stiffer for better feedback and superior tracking in heavy dirt, mud, and sand sections. New springs and suspension settings front and rear keep the balance right and increase steering precision. And we’ve even given the 2012 CRF450R wider, longer footpegs for better grip and comfort and fitted it with premium Dunlop MX51 tires for superior traction in corners and under acceleration. All in all, the CRF450R is the most dialed-in open-class MX bike we’ve ever rolled up to the start gate. That, combined with its legendary power, makes it the machine serious riders will be campaigning in 2012.

Because taking a ride on a cannonball is potentially somewhat addictive. Who is better placed to understand that than we are? Anyway, we have practically redesigned the 450 SX-F as well, with new bodywork and new linkage-suspension. And we have even managed to worm a bit more power out of the carbureted engine.

Used 2010 YAMAHA YZ450F
The revolutionary new YZ450F: So forward thinking everything else seems backwards. Yamaha has "spun" the MX world 180 degrees with the introduction of the new and innovative 2010 Yamaha YZ450F. Our engineers stepped out side of the box and the result is a stunning new machine which showcases Yamaha's latest MX technologies. Mass centralization combines with excellent "Rideability" to provide riders with a machine that exceeds expectations. New bikes amke some people stare. The revolutionary new 2010 YZ450F will have many gazing far into the future. But slanting the cylinder rearward and reversing the intake and exhaust ports, the 2010 Yamaha YZ450F's mass is more centralized for amazing balance, unprecedented handling and cornering. The all-new Bilateral Beam frame and suspension offer fantastic feedback to the rider. Add fuel injection to the mix of of these new innovations and you'll agree: backward is the right way forward. Fuel injection, "reversed" rearward slanted engine, Tornado exhaust, "Bilateral Beam" frame, new swingarm, longer suspension travel … the list of improvements goes on. The new YZ450F features engine and chassis designs that separate Yamaha from the competition. The YZ450F is a "no compromise" machine designed to win with styling highlights that will turn heads at the same time.       Highlights: New rearward slanting "reversed" engine New Bilateral Beam frame

All New for 2010

" YZ450F's new rearward-slanted cylinder is a revolutionary advancement that achieves unmatched mass centralization, concentrating inertial mass toward the center of the machine. This bold new design also swaps traditional intake and exhaust positions, putting the lightweight airbox and throttle body out front. This contributes to mass centralization for nimble handling while also achieving a straight intake tract for superb combustion efficiency that delivers more power.

" The cylinder is offset so the connecting rod is vertical at the moment of greatest combustion force, minimizing piston friction against the cylinder wall that could rob power. That means quicker response.

" The new 4-titanium valve cylinder head is matched to a fuel injection system developed specifically for the YZ450F. Instantly adapts to changing air/fuel mixtures depending on altitude and temperature, for an engine that delivers no matter what conditions.

" The all-new aluminum Bilateral Beam frame provides a superb rigidity balance that complements the engine for unmatched lightweight handling and cornering. The result? The best cornering, most nimble 450F for all track conditions.

" Revamped looks deliver new-generation styling, including front and rear fenders, intake cover, front fork protector, and number plate, along with the fuel tank and seat.

" Accessory GYTR® Power Tuner lets bike tuners adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to match engine performance characteristics to the rider and track conditions.

Great fun for not a lot of money. This older YZ85 looks and runs good for an 8 year old 2 stroker.   Play For Keeps
Welcome to the jungle. It's not easy making the transition to adulthood, but at least things can be crystal clear in one area of life. When you ask the YZ85's reed-valve-inducted six-speed engine for power, you learn very quickly the difference between it and whatever you rode before. This liquid-cooled six-speed screamer inhales through a 28mm Keihin PWK flat-slide carburetor and the heavy-duty clutch produces hard launches and positive shifts. And when you begin exploring the capabilities of its adjustable, long-travel suspension, you'll start to comprehend how your Supercross heroes pull off those poster moves. The inverted Kayaba fork dishes out 10.8" travel and you've got 11.3" out back. This is the real YZ deal, and if you're lucky it might teach you that the best things in life don't come easy. Excellence requires dedication, many hours, and a few thousand other intangibles. If you're ready to go there, we're ready with the 85 that can take you to the front of the pack, whether the game is motocross or life.
